Beacon Manufacturer's Workshop

The Beacon Manufacturer's Workshop, sponsored by the SARSAT Program Office, NOAA, U.S. Department of Commerce, will consider issues related to 406 MHz Satellite Emergency Position-Indicating Radiobeacons (EPIRBs), Emergency Locator Transmitters (ELTs), Personal Locator Beacons (PLB's), and the COSPAS-SARSAT System. Items to be addressed include Beacon Type Approval Testing, 121.5/243 MHz Phase-out and Beacon Registration among other topics.
