2024 Digital@Sea North America Conference

Navigating Digital Waterways of the Future:  Evolving Navigation through eNavigation

May 8-9, 2024 - ONE OCEAN Resort & Spa - Atlantic Beach, FL  USA

Join us at the 2024 Digital@Sea North America Conference on May 8th-9th, 2024, in Atlantic Beach, FL, USA, to explore “Evolving Navigation through eNavigation." The event will be held over two days and will focus on the expanding application of digitalization in the maritime information environment that digitalization is creating and the many initiatives that have advanced in North America.

The conference will include a combination of presentations, workshops or panels to cover digitalization and implementation plans by key stakeholders including key U.S. and  Canadian government agency representatives, technology experts, mariners, international coastal administrations, and creators of maritime safety information.  The deadline for incorporation of new IHO products is rapidly approaching and the conference will investigate the opportunities and effects of this evolution.  The transition from paper to electronic charts, the introduction of S-100, and the opportunities presented by technology, such as the VHF Data Exchange System (VDES), are a few examples of the topics to be presented or discussed.

Hosted by RTCM and organized under the IALA Digital@Sea series, this conference encourages interaction between speakers and attendees, giving everyone the chance to join the dialogue.  From professional mariners and port operators to fleet managers and developers/manufacturers of bridge equipment, anyone involved in the maritime industry should attend.

Digitalization in the maritime community is proceeding rapidly and operators and managers in all segments of the maritime community need to stay abreast of those developments for many reasons, including their overall impact and the potential effect upon regulatory requirements.  If you are a professional mariner, port operator, port authority, marine inspector, fleet manager, or a developer/manufacturer of bridge equipment you should attend this conference.

The ONE OCEAN Resort and Spa will host the conference, providing affordable accommodations in a fantastic location. The conference program will include many opportunities for informal exchanges during the program, meal breaks, and a reception with speakers, exhibitors and sponsors. In addition, delegates will have the opportunity to discuss presentation topics and other relevant issues throughout the two-day program, providing recommendations about the development and application of digitalization and e-navigation for submission to maritime administrations and standard-setting organizations.
