This milestone event will bring together leaders, innovators, technical experts, regulators, researchers, operators, and decision-makers from government, industry, academia, and international organizations for a week of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and valuable connections focused on tackling maritime technology challenges affecting mariners, industry, and regulators.

Conference Topics

One Week, Two Conferences

Digital@Sea North America | April 14-15, 2027

Held during RTCM conference week, Digital@Sea North America will bring an additional focus to maritime digitalization, connectivity, data, technology, and the evolving digital maritime ecosystem.

Participants will explore topics including:

• Digitalization strategies transforming vessel and shore-based operations
• Maritime data exchange, interoperability, and system integration
• Emerging technologies supporting smarter and safer navigation
• Connected services, digital infrastructure, and operational efficiencies
• Perspectives from government agencies, technology innovators, ports, waterways stakeholders, and maritime service providers

Bringing the RTCM Annual Assembly & Conference and Digital@Sea North America together provides attendees with access to an expanded network of maritime professionals and opportunities to engage across both technical and operational communities.

Celebrating 80 Years of Maritime Innovation

2027 marks RTCM’s 80th anniversary, recognizing eight decades of industry collaboration, technical leadership, and innovation in support of the maritime community.

RTCM was originally established through the leadership of the U.S. Coast Guard, the Federal Communications Commission, and the U.S. Department of State.  It has since built a long record of resolving issues involving radio, GNSS, radar, maritime safety information, and other maritime electronic systems, first as an advisory committee and, for the last 45 years, as an independent nonprofit organization with a broad, international membership representing government, industry, academia, and mariners from around the world.

The 80th Annual Assembly & Conference will provide an opportunity to celebrate RTCM’s history while bringing together the organizations and professionals helping shape the next generation of maritime communications, navigation, safety, digitalization, and technology.

Venue & Accommodations

We’re pleased to host the 2027 RTCM Annual Assembly & Conference at the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hollywood Beach in Hollywood, Florida, along Florida’s Gold Coast between Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

Overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway and located just steps from the Atlantic Ocean, the resort offers a relaxed South Florida setting for meetings, workshops, industry collaboration and networking.

The hotel is also conveniently located near Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International and Miami International Airports, dining, entertainment, shopping, and area attractions.

A special conference hotel rate will be available for attendees. Guest room availability is limited, and early reservations are encouraged once the conference booking link becomes available.

Discounted conference rates will also be offered for up to three days before and after the event for those wishing to extend their stay and enjoy South Florida.
